The Galloway Township Department of Public Works is a multidimentional workforce that has a broad range of functions. Divisions within the Department of Public Works are: Administration, Facilities, Grounds, Roads, Snow & Ice Control, Fleet Maintenance, Storm Water Management, Engineering, Inspections, Sewer Utility, Community Services, Senior Services and Capital Improvements.

- Oversee cleaning of Township facility buildings
- Perform various weekly and monthly inspections
- Removal of Township trash and recycling
- Residental request for services

Grounds
- Maintain various grounds, fields and playgrounds
- Maintain irrigation systems; opening up and winterizing

Roads
- Maintain roadways; shoulders, grading, street sweepint, potholes, patching and resurfacing
- Fall leaf collection
- Mowing and tree trimming roadsides throughout Township
- Snow & ice control operations
- Make, install and maintain Township signs
- Respond to emergencies
- Maintain storm drains and catch basins
- Oversee all operations of Waste Management
- Management of bulk drop off program
- Pick up items for senor citizens
- Oversee compost site
- Inspection retention ponds and ditches
- Maintain Township vehicles and equipment inventory

Fleet Maintenance
- Maintains and oversees utility, public works, police vehicles and equipment
- Residential request for services
- Emergency road side services for police vehicles; tire repair and towing
- Respond to Township emergencies
- Provide preventative maintenance with all Galloway Township vehicles and equipment
- Verify all vehicles safety DOT inspections and recalls
- Provide electrical and diagnostic scans and repairs
- Decommission and prepare vehicles for auction
- Operate, test and repair equipment
Sewer Utility
- Operates and maintains all phases of waste water collection
- Maintain, maintenance and cleaning of wet wells
- Sewer mark outs
